Cardiff Big Weekend

Your group spends a few hours or a full day at a spa, using the pools, thermal areas and relaxation rooms. Treatments such as massages and facials can be added, and many packages include lunch or afternoon tea. It is ideal for the morning after a big night, or for a group who want the weekend to feel restful. Bring swimwear. Robes, towels and slippers are usually provided.

Shows range from a dinner with a drag host to a full cabaret with singers and dancers. Your group is seated together, and many venues offer a set meal or a drinks package with the tickets. Performers often bring the bride into the act, so tell us if she would rather stay in her seat. Dress codes are usually smart casual. Arrive at the stated time, because seating is allocated in order.

A host brings all the materials and talks the group through the project step by step. Flower crowns, pottery painting, candle making and canvas painting are the most popular choices. Many workshops can be held at your accommodation. It is a relaxed, seated activity that every age in the group can enjoy, and everyone leaves with something to remember the weekend by. Flower crowns can be worn that night. Most hosts allow drinks during the workshop. Ask us when booking.

We book a restaurant that can seat the whole group together, usually on a set menu so ordering is quick and the bill is simple. Private rooms are available in many places. Dinner is often the moment the whole group is in one place, so it is a good time for speeches, a gift for the bride, or a game the group has prepared. Collect dietary needs early. Most restaurants need them a few days before.
